The STARLINK-1059 satellite, also known as Starlink 1059, is part of SpaceXs Starlink constellation and was launched on November 11, 2019, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch Complex 40 using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. It has dimensions of approximately 0.2 meters in length, 2.8 meters in diameter, and spans up to 9 meters when fully deployed. The satellite weighs 260 kilograms at launch with a dry mass of 248 kilograms. Equipped with Ku/Ka-band payload capabilities and optical inter-satellite links on prototypes, STARLINK-1059 is designed for communication purposes and uses solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its propulsion system consists of Krypton ion thrusters, and its shape is described as a box with a pan configuration.
