The BEIDOU-3 M22 satellite, also known as Beidou DW 51, was launched on November 23, 2019, from Xichang Satellite Launch Center (LC3) using the Chang Zheng 3B/YZ-1 launch vehicle. It is part of Chinas BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and has a dry mass of 850 kilograms with a launch mass of 1014 kilograms. The satellite measures 2.2 meters in length, 1.7 meters in diameter, and spans 10 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. It is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. The spacecrafts shape consists of a box structure plus two panels and was manufactured by SECM (Satellite Engineering Center of Microelectronics). Its primary purpose is navigation support within the constellation, and it has an expected lifetime of 12 years. The satellite is owned by CNSA (China National Space Administration) and serves as part of Chinas space-based navigation infrastructure.
