Additional information STARLINK-1162

The STARLINK-1162 satellite, also known as Starlink 1162, is owned and operated by SpaceX (SPXS) and was launched on January 29, 2020, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. It has a configuration of Box + pan with dimensions including a length of 0.2 meters, diameter of 2.8 meters, and span of 9 meters. The satellites dry mass is 248 kilograms and its launch mass was 260 kilograms. Equipped with Ku/Ka-band payload (all) and optical inter-satellite links (prototypes), it serves a communication mission and uses krypton ion thrusters for propulsion. Power is provided by solar arrays and batteries, and the satellite operates in low Earth orbit as part of SpaceXs Starlink constellation.
