The STARLINK-1172 satellite, also known as Starlink 1172, is part of SpaceXs Starlink constellation and was launched on January 29, 2020, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. It has dimensions including a length of 0.2 meters, diameter of 2.8 meters, and span of 9 meters. The satellite weighs approximately 248 kilograms dry mass with a total launch mass of 260 kilograms. Equipped with Ku/Ka-band payload capabilities (all) and optical inter-satellite links on some prototypes, it is used for communication purposes. Its propulsion system includes krypton ion thrusters, and it is powered by solar arrays and batteries. The satellites shape can be described as a box with a pan configuration.
