Tomorrow, NASA's SpaceX CRS-30 commercial resupply mission is set to launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the International Space Station (ISS). The Dragon cargo spacecraft is expected to rendezvous autonomously with the ISS module two days later.
Dragon will carry the last three CubeSats from the Canadian CubeSat Project, designed and built by students from Canadian universities. Following their arrival at the ISS, these miniature satellites will be deployed into space:
The spacecraft will also transport equipment for the Canadian experiments Vascular Aging, Vascular Calcium and CARDIOBREATH, including Bio-Monitor hardware, and seeds for the educational project TomatosphereTM. These seeds will return to Earth to be distributed to thousands of classrooms across Canada and the United States for students to grow tomato plants.
Live coverage of SpaceX CRS-30's launch will begin on NASA TV on March 21, starting at 4:35 p.m. ET.
