The GSAT0101 (GALILEO-PFM), also known as GalileoSat-1, is a satellite manufactured by EADSB/THALR and owned by ESA/GSAEU for navigation purposes. Launched on October 21, 2011, from the Guiana Space Center using the Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle, it measures 2.7 meters in length with a diameter of 1.6 meters and spans 14.5 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. The satellite has a dry mass of 700 kilograms and is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its shape consists of a box structure with two panels, and it has an RCS (Reaction Control System) value of 12.6191. GSAT0101 carries the Galileo IOV PFM payload for navigation missions and was launched on the same date as its stable operational date, indicating immediate mission commencement post-launch.
