ORBCOMM FM115 is a communication satellite identified by NORAD CAT ID 41186 and OBJECT ID 2015-081H, manufactured by SNVL as part of the US mission to support Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) communications alongside traffic monitoring. Launched on December 22, 2015, from LC40 at AFETR using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the satellite features an SN-100A bus with dimensions of 1 meter in length and 0.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 13 meters when its solar array is deployed. The spacecraft has a dry mass of 158 kilograms and a launch mass of 172 kilograms, powered by deployable solar arrays and batteries. It carries an Orbcomm payload and an AIS-receiver for its mission purposes. With a box+pan+ant shape and a RCS value of 0.5384, the satellites expected lifetime is over five years.
