BEIDOU-2 G8, also known as Beidou DW 45, is a navigation satellite launched by CNSA on May 17, 2019, from Xichang Satellite Launch Center (LC2) using the Chang Zheng 3C launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 3 meters in length with a diameter of 1.7 meters and a span of 18 meters. It has a dry mass of 1700 kilograms and was launched at a total mass of 3060 kilograms. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power, BEIDOU-2 G8 is based on the DFH-3B bus configuration manufactured by CAST. The satellites motor type is FY-25. It has a box-shaped body with two panels and is designed to operate for 8 years in its navigation mission.
