The STARLINK-1085 satellite, also known as Starlink 1085, is owned and operated by SPXS (SpaceX) for communication purposes. It was launched on January 7, 2020, from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Stations Launch Complex 40 using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The satellite measures 0.2 meters in length with a diameter of 2.8 meters and spans up to 9 meters when fully deployed. It has a dry mass of 248 kilograms and a launch mass of 260 kilograms, equipped with solar arrays and batteries for power supply. Its equipment includes a Ku/Ka-band payload (standard) and optical inter-satellite links (prototype). The satellite is powered by krypton ion thrusters and features a box + pan shape design.
